I have been a Registered Practical Nurse for 10 years and have been specializing in foot care for 5 years. I took my first foot care course in 2013 at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ont., and then followed up with more in depth training in 2015 at the College of Health Studies in Brampton, Ont. Every year I attend foot care conferences around Ontario to continue my education and to keep up to date with the latest practices.
As an advanced foot care nurse I am able to treat various problems such as: ingrown toenails, fungal and this/deformed nails, athletes foot, corns and calluses. As a nurse I can assess your feet for circulation and edema, level of sensation, and for the risk of foot ulcer development. All of my medical foot care instruments are packaged, sealed, fully sterilized and are unique to each patient. |
